These are BIG25 goggles, made by Leica (now Vectronix).
In Swiss Army they are called RLV95 (Restlichtverstärker).
They are typically Gen2+ or SuperGen, sometimes with XD-4 tubes.

These were never meant for civilians, they are fully MilSpec.
They are not that much old, still being actively used today. The oldest ones might be from early 90s (?)

What do you mean? I am not selling one. :)
Do you mean you'd like to know what value the goggles have?
In Gen2+ around 1600.00 EUR, in SuperGen around 2000.00, in XD-4 over 2400.00 EUR on Euro market.

Hi meeman

finding spares for this LEICA might be almost impossible. In extreme case I would try to get spare eyecups for PVS-7 and try to modify them for use with the LEICA.

I don't quite understand it, is your friend with military? Why should he be required to locate spares for himself?

Can you tell me how can I determine what version of BIG25 goggles I have? (Gen2+, SuperGen or XD-4 tubes)
Thank you

Rames.
The only way is to take out the tube and read the codes.
It would look like this:

XX1610

That tube (xx1610) is actually the first of Super Second Generation (aka, Supergen) to be developed... They improved the hole ratio to around 75% in the MCP and used quite a few other tricks too... At the time, it was roughly equivalent to the Gen3 of the era.

I've been waiting to see one of those :) Is that one of yours Flex? I'd love to know how it performs visually -

David.

David...

Nope, this one ain't mine. It was taken from a Leica BIG35 handheld binocular to demonstrate different dimensions compared to standard MX-10130. (ca 3mm shorter as you can see).

I currently have one SuperGen installed in Thales LUNOS goggles but since the LUNOS is very hard to dismantle, I have not been able to assess the exact type. The performance is slightly inferior to Gen3 OMNI II from early 90s.
